The Elf Singer is one of the unnamed elves that works with Santa Claus at the North Pole. After Santa leaves to deliver the presents, the elves start a party at the North Pole Square where Elf Singer sings "Rockin' on Top of the World" with the band.

Behind the scenes[]

Early in production, the filmmakers were indecisive about whether or not the elves, including Elf Singer, would be motion-captured like most of the human characters.[1] It would eventually be decided they would, though some keyframe animation was done to perfect the character's movements.[1] The voice was done by Steven Tyler.

Due to the elves' small size, the wireframe props of the instruments were scaled up to match the size of the actors. The result would then be shrunk down to elf-size.[2]

Trivia[]

  • Elf Singer is one of many characters in the film to not also be from the book.
